Joseph Uccello

Joe Uccello is a trial attorney at Mickey Keenan, P.A., where he fights for individuals injured by negligence. He takes on automobile, motorcycle, trucking, and boating accidents, as well as slip and falls and negligent security cases. With 15 years of legal experience and over 100 trials, he knows how to challenge insurance companies and secure fair compensation.

A third-generation Tampa native, Joe grew up in West Tampa. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University. While living in Washington, D.C., and New York City, he realized his passion for advocacy. Wanting to make a real impact, he returned home and attended Stetson University College of Law.

During law school, Joe focused on trial advocacy and built strong courtroom skills. After graduation, he began his career as a criminal defense attorney, handling cases from misdemeanors to felonies. This role taught him how to think fast, craft strong arguments, and handle high-pressure situations. Later, he transitioned into personal injury law. Helping victims of negligence gave him a deeper sense of purpose.

Joe’s path to Mickey Keenan, P.A. was shaped by key mentors and a desire to work at a client-focused firm. His longtime friend Alan Bulnes introduced him to Mickey Keenan, and after experiencing the firm’s culture firsthand, Joe knew it was the right place. He values the firm’s personalized approach and commitment to aggressive advocacy. Because of this, he treats every client like family and ensures they have a lawyer who listens, fights, and delivers results.

For Joe, advocating for the injured is personal. Coming from a working-class family, he understands the financial and emotional toll an accident can take. That background gave him a relentless work ethic, resilience, and a deep sense of fairness. As a result, he takes pride in holding insurance companies accountable and securing the compensation his clients need. The most rewarding part of his job is seeing the relief on a client’s face when they realize they have someone truly in their corner.

Outside the courtroom, Joe is a dedicated sports fan who enjoys college football and basketball, especially Florida State and Florida matchups, which fuel a fun rivalry at home. Additionally, he loves cycling, using it to clear his mind and stay active. As a passionate Tampa Bay Lightning fan, he follows the season closely and enjoys the energy of live games.
