Sunday crash closed NB lanes of Howard Frankland Bridge

TAMPA, FL – A late morning crash closed the two northbound lanes of the Howard Frankland Bridge while crews responded to the scene Sunday, reports WFLA News 8.

According to Florida 511, the incident involved multiple vehicles and happened sometime before 11:39 a.m. near mile marker 36.

Camera footage from the scene indicates that medics transported at least one person to the hospital.

Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances of the accident. Crews cleared the scene and re-opened all northbound lanes just before 2 p.m.
