St. Pete crash involving semi and SUV delays traffic

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – HAZMAT crews worked at the scene of a crash involving a semi-truck and an SUV in St. Petersburg Tuesday morning, reports 10 Tampa Bay.

The incident happened around 6:11 a.m. near the intersection of 34th Street North and 7th Avenue North, which is just southeast of Jorgenson Lake Park.

Police have not shared many details regarding the crash but have indicated that the collision caused the 18-wheeler to leak oil on the roadway. Crews are working to clear the wreck and clean up the spill.

It’s unclear at this time if anyone sustained injuries. A full investigation is underway.
