Single-vehicle crash kills 1 on I-75 SB in Manatee Co.
BRADENTON, FL – An adult male died Saturday morning when his vehicle crashed along the interstate in Bradenton, reports WWSB abc7.
Police say the incident happened early in the morning on the southbound side of I-75, just north of University Parkway in the University Park area of Bradenton.
The investigation thus far indicates that a southbound Tesla caught fire after leaving the roadway and hitting a tree. The collision caused the Tesla to ignite.
The driver was unable to escape from the burning car and died at the scene of the crash.
It is unclear why the victim lost control of the vehicle. A full investigation of the incident is underway.
