Sedan and semi-truck collide on SR-674 in Lithia, killing 1

LITHIA, FL – A 30-year-old man died in a two-vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler along a roadway in southeast Hillsborough County on Tuesday morning, reports Fox 13 Tampa Bay.

Police say the incident happened just before 6 a.m. east of Katie Stanaland Road on State Road 674.

The investigation so far indicates that an eastbound sedan veered into the westbound lane and collided almost head-on with a tractor-trailer.

The driver of the sedan died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released his identity to the public.

The truck driver did not sustain any injuries in the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
