TAMPA, FL – Authorities are asking the public to share any tips they may have about a hit-and-run crash that killed a man last Friday in Tampa, reports The Free Press.
Police think the incident happened sometime around 6 a.m. on Friday, August 26th, on the eastbound side of I-4 just west of US-301. The victim’s body was discovered approximately five hours after the accident occurred.
The investigation thus far suggests that a 32-year-old man from Riviera Beach was crossing I-4 on foot when a vehicle struck him and left the scene. The victim died at the scene of the accident.
At this time, law enforcement does not have any details regarding the vehicle or driver involved in the crash. Anyone with information to share can contact the Florida Highway Patrol.
