News: Single-car crash kills 2 teens in Pinellas Co.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Two teenagers died, and another sustained injuries in single-vehicle crash that happened early Saturday morning in St. Petersburg.
Fox 13 Tampa Bay reports that the incident happened around 12:45 a.m. in the Childs Park neighborhood of St. Pete.
Police say a 17-year-old driver left the roadway and collided with a power pole in the 4200 block of 11th Avenue South.
The crash killed an 18-year-old passenger at the scene. A second passenger, a 14-year-old, died after transport to a local hospital.
Medics transported the driver to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital with non-critical injuries.
A full investigation of the cause of the accident is underway.
