News: No injuries when pickup hits FDOT ranger truck in Tampa

TAMPA, FL – Nobody was hurt Saturday when a vehicle collided with a Florida Department of Transportation road ranger’s truck on I-75 in Tampa, reports 10 Tampa Bay.

Police say the incident happened around 4 p.m. on the northbound side of I-75. Authorities have not yet specified the exact location of the crash.

The investigation thus far suggests that the driver of a northbound pickup truck towing a trailer full of roofing materials neglected to notice the traffic cones that had been placed to mark the scene of a prior crash. The pickup truck collided with an FDOT ranger’s truck and then caught fire.

Crews worked to put out the fire, and neither party sustained injuries.
