News: No injuries when car hits house in Pinellas Park

PINELLAS PARK, FL – A stolen van crashed into a family home in Pinellas Park on Friday morning, causing significant structural damage, reports abc Action News.

Police say the incident happened around 5:30 a.m. in the area of 70th Avenue and 61st Street North.

The investigation thus far has revealed that the driver of a white Kia van sped away from authorities and crashed into a residential home after they were stopped on 70th Avenue. Police stopped the van after observing erratic driving and darkened headlights.

Nobody inside the home sustained injuries in the crash, but the family will need to relocate while repairs are made.

After the crash, police discovered that the Kia van in question had been reported stolen the night prior.

Authorities have not publicly identified the driver, nor have they discussed charges.
