News: Motorcyclist killed in St. Pete one-vehicle crash

PETERSBURG, FL – A 33-year-old man died overnight when his motorcycle crashed into a guardrail on I-275 in south Pinellas County, 10 Tampa Bay reports.

Police say the incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. on the I-275 north exit ramp for 31st Street South. The biker lost control of his motorcycle as he attempted to follow the curve of the ramp, veered into the median, and collided with a guardrail.

The motorcyclist died in the crash even though he was wearing a safety helmet.

The investigation is ongoing.
