News: Motorcyclist killed in Pinellas Co. crash on US-19

PALM HARBOR, FL – A 26-year-old man died after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle on a highway in Palm Harbor on Wednesday afternoon, reports WFLA News 8.

Police say the incident happened just after 1:30 p.m. on the southbound side of US-19 at Colonial Boulevard.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the southbound motorcyclist collided with a sedan that was turning left across Highway 19.

Authorities have not publicly identified the victim but say he died at the scene of the accident.

It is unclear at this time if the 68-year-old driver of the sedan sustained injuries.

All but one lane remained closed on the southbound side of US-19 as of late afternoon. The incident remains under investigation.
