News: Motorcyclist dies in Largo crash with tractor-trailer

LARGO, FL – A Tuesday night collision involving an 18-wheeler killed a motorcyclist in central Pinellas County, Fox 13 Tampa Bay reports.

Police say the incident happened around 7:20 p.m. at the intersection of Tall Pines Drive and Ulmerton Road. The motorcycle crashed into the rear of the semi-truck as the truck driver initiated a right turn from Ulmerton onto Tall Pines.

The driver of the motorcycle died at the scene of the crash after becoming entrapped beneath the tractor-trailer.

The driver of the 18-wheeler did not sustain injuries in the collision.

An full investigation is underway, but police do not suspect impairment on the part of the truck driver.
