News: Man Hit, Killed when Car Stalls on N I-75 in Tampa

TAMPA, FL – A 55-year-old man died in Hillsborough County on Sunday when a car hit him as he waited next to his stalled vehicle on the interstate.

The Tampa Bay Times reports that the crash happened around 2:15 a.m. near mile marker 263.

Police say the driver of a Dodge Caravan exited his vehicle after it became disabled on the interstate. A 23-year-old driver crashed into the left rear of the Dodge Caravan before hitting the 55-year-old driver of the Dodge.

The driver of the Dodge died at the scene of the accident. The other driver and one passenger were reported to have only minor injuries.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.
