News: Car hits, kills person on Hillsborough Ave in Tampa

TAMPA, FL – A pedestrian died Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle at a busy intersection in Tampa, reports 10 Tampa Bay.

Police say the incident happened before 6:06 a.m. at the intersection of West Hillsborough Avenue, or US-92, and North Armenia Avenue.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim, nor have they commented on the circumstances of the collision.

The eastbound lanes of Hillsborough Avenue were closed for at least two hours while crews worked to investigate and clear the scene. All lanes re-opened by around 8a.m.
