News: 3-Car collision in Davenport kills 1, hurts 3

DAVENPORT, FL – A 20-year-old man died, and his 18-year-old passenger was hurt when their car collided with two vehicles in Polk County on Friday, WFLA reports.

Police say the accident happened around 3:10 p.m. Jose R. Perez Marcano and Naomi Perez were travelling east on Davenport Boulevard in a Honda Civic when their vehicle crashed into a Sonata that had turned left onto Davenport. They then collided with a Honda CR5, and this second crash caused significant damage to the passenger side of the Honda Civic.

The driver of the Honda Civic was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, while 18-year-old Naomi Perez was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The drivers from the other vehicles sustained only minor injuries.
