BRADENTON, FL – A 29-year-old passenger died, and a man and child were hospitalized after a single-car collision in the Oneco area of Bradenton.
Herald-Tribune reports that the incident happened around 11:50 p.m. on 15th Street East near 53rd Avenue.
Police say a southbound sedan with three occupants travelled onto the west shoulder of 15th Street East and collided with a tree. The car then caught fire, spun, and stopped on 15th Street.
An unnamed female passenger died at the scene of the accident. A male driver and a six-year-old passenger sustained serious injuries. They are now in critical condition at Tampa General Hospital.
Authorities are actively investigating the incident and working to determine the identity of the driver.
