BRANDON, FL – A 43-year-old man died after his motorcycle crashed along the interstate in central Hillsborough County on Saturday, reports 10 Tampa Bay.
Police say the incident happened at night on the northbound side of I-75 near mile marker 254, or the exit for West Brandon Boulevard.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the northbound motorcyclist lost control of his bike. The biker was ejected as the motorcycle overturned, and six northbound vehicles ran over the motorcyclist in the roadway.
The biker died at the scene of the accident. It is unclear if he was wearing a safety helmet at the time of the crash.
None of the other drivers sustained injuries in the collision.
