Motorcycle vs. SUV crash kills 2 on SR-70 WB in Bradenton

BRADENTON, FL – Two motorcyclists died Friday night when their bike collided with an SUV on a state highway in western Manatee County, reports WFLA News 8.

Police say the incident happened around 9:40 p.m. on the westbound side of State Road 70 near I-75 in Bradenton.

The investigation indicates that the 25-year-old driver of the motorcycle failed to slow down and collided with the rear of a westbound SUV.

The force of the collision caused the motorcycle to overturn, ejecting the driver and his 22-year-old female passenger.

The passenger died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the motorcycle died after transport to a local hospital.

No other injuries were reported. A full investigation is underway.
