LAKE ALFRED, FL – Officials closed all eastbound lanes of I-4 in Lake Alfred Wednesday morning after a crash involving an 18-wheeler, reports Fox 13 Tampa Bay.
Police say the incident happened around 8:45 a.m. near the intersection of I-4 eastbound and Old Grade Road, or County Road 557, which is adjacent to the Hilochee Wildlife Management Area.
It’s unclear how the accident happened, but authorities say it caused a semi-truck to jackknife across the eastbound lanes of I-4.
Response crews are reporting injuries from the crash. Officials have not yet shared details about those injuries, nor have they said how many vehicles were involved in the collision.
