Fiery 2-vehicle crash involving gas truck injures 2 in Tampa

TAMPA, FL – Two people suffered minor injuries after a CRV collided with an 18-wheeler gas truck along the interstate in Tampa Sunday morning, reports Patch.

Police say the incident happened around 3:47 a.m. on the northbound side of I-275 near East Busch Boulevard, which is just northwest of Rogers Park Golf Course.

The investigation thus far indicates that a northbound Honda CRV crashed into a semi-truck carrying fuel while changing lanes on the interstate. Both vehicles ignited and veered alongside the roadway.

One of the drivers went to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The other driver suffered minor injuries but did not require treatment at the hospital.

A full investigation of the incident is underway.
