ST. PETERSBURG, FL – No injuries have been reported so far after a car caught fire on the Pinellas County side of the Howard Frankland Bridge Wednesday morning, reports WFLA News 8.
Police say the incident happened around 2:20 a.m. near mile marker 35 on northbound I-275.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The Department of Transportation released video footage of a black car engulfed in flames.
Officials closed the northbound lanes while crews worked to put out the fire and clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
