Alleged DUI driver crashes into Largo eatery on Ulmerton

LARGO, FL – Police arrested a man on from St. Pete on a charge of driving under the influence after he crashed into a restaurant in Largo on Friday, reports WFLA News 8.

The incident happened around 6:10 p.m. at the WingHouse Bar and Grill, which is located just west of El Centro Boulevard at 7369 Ulmerton Road.

The investigation indicates that 55-year-old Robert Allen Schultz crashed into the railing and front window of the restaurant, causing significant damage.

Schultz confessed to drinking before driving, and a breathalyzer test revealed an alcohol level that was almost double the legal limit.

Officials have not reported any injuries from the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
