3-vehicle crash kills motorcyclist in Bradenton

BRADENTON, FL – A motorcyclist died Saturday morning after being struck by two vehicles at a busy intersection in Bradenton, reports 10 Tampa Bay.

Police say the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. near the intersection of Manatee Avenue West and 47th Street West, which is just south of the Manatee River.

The investigation indicates that a car attempted to turn onto Manatee Avenue West from 47th Street West and struck the westbound motorcyclist. The collision ejected the motorcyclist from his bike, at which point another car struck him in the roadway.

The driver of the motorcycle died from injuries sustained in the accident.

No other injures have been reported. A full investigation is underway.
