2-vehicle crash during test drive kills 1 in Winter Haven

WINTER HAVEN, FL – A 76-year-old woman died, and her husband was hurt in a two-vehicle collision that occurred during a test drive on Saturday evening, reports Fox 13 Tampa Bay.

The incident happened just before 6 p.m. near the Hill Nissan dealership on Cypress Gardens Boulevard, which is just west of River Lake.

The investigation indicates that an 86-year-old man was test driving a 2023 Nissan Rogue on southbound Cypress Gardens Boulevard when he turned left into the pathway of a northbound vehicle.

The driver suffered minor injuries in the crash, while his wife died at the scene.

A rear passenger in the Nissan did not sustain any injuries, nor did the driver of the other vehicle.

Authorities identified the victim in the crash as Jean Worme.
