2 killed, 1 hospitalized in Pinellas Park 2-car crash

PINELLAS PARK, FL – Two people died, and one person went to the hospital Sunday night after two vehicles collided along a busy roadway in central Pinellas County, reports Fox 13 Tampa Bay.

Police say the incident happened just before 9:45 p.m. on Bryan Dairy Road west of US-19 and east of South Belcher Road.

The initial investigation suggests that an eastbound Ferrari travelling at a high rate of speed lost control before rotating over the median and into oncoming traffic. At that point, the sports car collided head-on with a westbound Acura sedan.

The force of the collision threw the driver of the Ferrari from the vehicle. Both the driver and a passenger from the Ferrari died at the scene of the accident.

Medics transported the driver of the Acura to the hospital with serious injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
