2 injured in 2-vehicle crash involving bus in Bradenton

BRADENTON, FL – Two women went to the hospital with serious injuries last Thursday morning after their car collided with a bus on the interstate in Bradenton, reports Patch.

The incident happened just before 6 a.m. on the southbound entrance ramp from State Route 64 to southbound I-75.

The investigation thus far indicates that, for unknown reasons, a  70-year-old woman lost control of her car and veered into the path of a bus. The bus struck the left side of the car, causing it to spin and crash into a concrete barrier.

Both the driver of the car and her female passenger sustained critical injuries.

The bus driver did not sustain injuries in the crash, nor did any of his passengers.

A full investigation is underway.
